Post Feast Fun

The Hounds that stayed with us after the feast got a special treat:  Decorating the Christmas tree!!!!!!

Our Thanksgiving Feast

Wow!! What a turnout we had for our feast. Thanks to all who joined us. We hope you enjoyed it.

Reading Buddies

The Happy Hounds worked very hard on their Thanksgiving play.  They performed it for several classes and their families at the feast.  Below are pics of them performing for their Reading Buddies and pics of the Hounds reading with their buddies.

Sigth Word Sam

The Hounds practiced their sight words by writing them on paper (left over from the copy room :) ) and reading them to a teacher. Then they crumbled the paper and made Sight Word Sam come to life!! What a fun way to practice those dreaded sight words.

Poor Sam!  He needs our help.

Diamond table hard at work.

Andrew, Draike, and Gracie had a serious competition going!!

Alex and Abi Grace filling him up.

Almost there!!

Our friend, Sight Word Sam.

Way Cool Science

Dry ice makes for some very cool science demonstrations.

Dry ice + glow stick = EERIE

Vapor caught in dish soap makes lots of bubbles.

A thin layer of dish soap over the rim of the container......

traps the vapor and makes one very large bubble.......

that bursts!!!!  Check out the Spunky Monkeys' faces!!

Not quite what we wanted, but still very cool!
