Snow Day????

Ok, we really didn't have a snow day, but we were all ready for one last Friday.  So.... we played in the ice and made ice cream.  Our science experiment for the day was Melt an Ice Cube.  They had LOTS of fun rolling the dice and trying different ways to melt the ice. Their favorite was putting the ice cube down their shirts!  We also made homemade ice cream to celebrate Jodie's birthday with our Book Buddies in Mrs. Wheatley's class.

Andrew rolled a 2 - ice cube down the shirt!

Tate checking out his ice.

Katie and Ava

Is that ice cube cold, Luis?

Emmie working hard.

Alexa ready to roll.

Draike checking out his ice.

Daniela showing us her ice.

Alex holding his ice for 10 seconds.

Adam floating his ice for 10 seconds.

Lexie asks, "Has it melted yet?"

Adam rolled a 2!

Silly boy!

Ice cube down the shirt!

Alex putting 10 shakes of salt on his ice cube.

Yes, we were hard at work.

Now for the ice cream!

Discussing whether they have ever made homemade ice cream before.

Happy 8th Birthday Jodie!

The Hounds that stayed with us after the feast got a special treat:  Decorating the Christmas tree!!!!!!

Our Thanksgiving Feast

Wow!! What a turnout we had for our feast. Thanks to all who joined us. We hope you enjoyed it.

Reading Buddies

The Happy Hounds worked very hard on their Thanksgiving play.  They performed it for several classes and their families at the feast.  Below are pics of them performing for their Reading Buddies and pics of the Hounds reading with their buddies.
