Leo Lionni
The Hounds worked really hard in groups writing and drawing about story elements in four different Leo Lionni stories. We reviewed characters and setting and learned about problem and solution.

Dyeing Eggs
Love, Love, Love doing this with our kiddos. It reminds me of when I was a kid. The Hounds did a super job waiting patiently for the color they wanted. Thanks to Mr. Richard for getting all the dye ready and helping a group dye their eggs.
EGG HUNT!!!
Wow! The Hounds were super excited about the egg hunt. We barely made it until our 11:30 hunt time. I wish I would have gotten more close up pics, but an Easter egg hunt is not an easy thing to photograph.
How Strong Is An Egg?
For our science experiment the week before Easter, we tested several eggs to find out how many books we could pile on top of them. We repeated the experiment using different sized books It was amazing how many much weight an egg could support.
We placed the egg in a "nest" of playdough. |
We balanced a pan on top of the egg using blocks. |
Then we stacked books on top of the pan, counting as we went. |
Yuck!! |
