The Happy Hounds celebrated St. Patrick's Day with lots of fun activites. The day before the big day, everyone made a trap to catch a leprechaun. We wrote about what we would do if we actully caught one. Most people were after his gold. Well, as you can see, he came all right! No one caught him, but he did leave everyone gold.
On St. Patrick's Day we had rainbow cupcakes. A very cute recipe from Family Fun magazine, but a little time consuming to make.
Our Funky Food activity for that week was a Celebration of Green. Thanks to our wonderful parents, we had a variety of green foods: apples, pears, pickles, olives, broccoli, cucumbers, pudding, jello, juice, grapes, and probably something I'm forgetting. We ate until we were stuffed!
Our science experiment for the week was Leprechaun Worms. These were not edible, but they were very cool.
